Happy Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day!
Rosie made up a cute little Valentine for her teacher this year.
She filled an organza bag with some Hershey's kisses and together we made this tag. We love crafting together!
I hope you have a great day with your family and loved ones. :)

Valentine Decorating

A little spot of Valentine decorating fun has been going on at our house. :)
Of course I didn't want to spend much on this at all so I picked up a few bargains, which made it guilt free fun. :)
I found these DIY Christmas glass balls in the Clearance Bin at Spotlight for a bargain $1 per box! I then found these lovely ribbons in Valentines colours and tied a loop through the glass balls.
The only other thing to do was place them in these beautiful glass jars that I picked up from Bed, Bath and Beyond (also on sale!) and we were done. It took about 10 minutes to do and adds some lovely sparkle to our entry hall now. :)

Valentines Day Print

Something has come over me in the last few months and I am finding the urge to seasonally decorate. :) I know it is very 'un-kiwi' (is that a word?) of me to get into this type of thing but I actually really enjoy it! It isn't so much about the commercialism of these holidays, but more about taking the idea behind it and thinking about how you can apply it to your family.
In the case of Valentines, showing our love for our family in small but special ways. I found this Valentine Subway Art on Eighteen25 and decided to jump in with the holiday decorating and replace my Christmas Print with this one.
I printed it out at a photo kiosk to get a better quality print and it is now displayed on our hall table for a bit of Valentines cheer. I love having these little visual reminders and looking around our home, they make me smile, especially at the end of a long day. :)
